杜伟华主编的《大学英语拓展阅读教程(全国高等农林院校十三五规划教材)》是为了培养学生的阅读能力，扩大视野，提高英语语言综合应用能力而编写的。本教材主要取材于国外主流媒体最新文章，紧跟时代，从政治、经济、文化、科技、农业、教育、医学健康、历史、人物、风土人情等10个方面入手，以帮助学生开拓眼界，积累相应领域词汇，了解世界上不同学科最新发展动态，为专业英语学习打下基础。本教材根据不同话题共分10个单元，每单元包括4篇文章，每篇文章由导读、正文、生词、练习等4个部分构成。在教材后面附加了生词表和练习答案，以便教师参考和学生自学。
