《中医名词术语英译靠前标准化比较研究》，由于中医是中国特有的一门传统医学体系，且其理论和实践均根植于中国传统文化，不但在理论体系和诊疗方法上与现代医学迥然不同，而且在术语体系和表述方法上与现代医学也泾渭分明。所以在西方各国语言中，一般都缺乏中医对应语，给中医的对外翻译和靠前交流造成了很大困难。本书对中医名词术语英译及其靠前标准化问题进行了较为系统的实践总结、方法探索、理论研究。

李照国，男，1961年出生，陕西三原人，英语语言文学学士、语言学与应用语言学硕士、中医学博士、翻译学博士后。
现为上海师范大学外国语学院教授、院长，农工民主党上海师范大学委员会主委，上海市政协委员，国家中华思想文化术语传播工程专家委员会委员，世界中医药学会联合会翻译专业委员会会长，世界卫生组织ICD-11传统医学部分(WHO/ICTM)术语工作组专家，世界标准化组织中医药靠前标准化技术委员会(ISO/TC249)术语工作组专家，全国科技名词审定委员会中医委员会委员，Journal of Integrativ Medicine杂志常务编委及专栏撰稿人。
先后撰写出版《中医翻译导论》等学术著作26部及《月落闲阁》等杂文集5部，先后翻译出版《黄帝内经》《难经》等译著25部，在靠前外学术刊物上发表研究论文160余篇。先后主持国家社会科学基金项目2项、省部级项目6项。所主讲的“国学典籍英译”为上海市精品课程，获上海市很好教学成果一等奖。
