2016年10月25日，中共中央、国务院发布了《“健康中国2031”规划纲要》。这是贯彻党的十八届五中全会精神的重要举措，是推进健康中国建设的宏伟蓝图和行动纲领，是我国健康领域的第一个中长期战略规划。《纲要》受到社会各界广泛关注和高度评价，其颁布实施对于推进健康中国建设具有重大意义。出版《纲要》解读英文版，有利于进一步扩大《纲要》的国际影响，向世界正面宣扬中国医疗卫生取得的成就及发展前景，树立良好的国际形象。
