蒙田（1533—1592）《随笔全集》三卷共107篇，第一卷57篇和第二卷37篇于1580年出版，第三卷13篇于1587年出版，在其去世前又不断修订。本次影印的是英国作家科顿（Charles Cotton，1630-1687）的英译本，版本为美国不列颠百科全书出版公司“西方世界的伟大著作”（Great Books of the Western World）第25册，1952年版。
