Huckleberry Finn is set along the Mississippi River Valley in approximately 1850 The story revolves around young Huck, traveling by raft with Jim, an escaped slave, who he has promised to help gain his freedom. As the two survive by their wits, and just plain luck, Huck observes what is good and what is bad about his world.
