Nancy N. Schiffer is a writer and editor with a passion for art and design history. She received a BA in Art History from Wells College and an MA in Museology from George Washington University. Af- ter serving as curator for Tryon Palace Restoration in New Bern, North Carolina, she ran the appraisal department for a leading antiques business. She is a dedicated collector of art and has written other books on decorative arts, sculpture, and antiques.
