本书是辽宁科学技术出版社组织出版的《颅脑颈部应用解剖彩色图谱》、《眼耳鼻咽喉应用解剖彩色图谱》等的头颈部系列解剖图谱中的一本。本图谱根据颌面口腔的形态结构特点，分为颅，颞下颌关节、颌面、口腔、牙的形态、颈部局解、颅底局解和颌面部断面解剖等八部分。编著内容上以医学院校《口腔解剖生理学》教学大纲为基础，并结合临床应用，撷集颌面口腔解剖学深入翔实的内容以及新的研究资料，以拓宽应用范围，适用于颅颌外科、颅底外科、面部美容整形和治疗颌面畸形、缺损及创伤的修复等专业医师。作者以人体颌面口腔解剖标本为素材，从不同的角度和方位，巨微视结合，系统解剖与局部解剖结合，为颌面口腔疾病的治疗，恢复及重建这些器官的功能，矫正畸形等手术提供一本有价值的临床实用解剖学参考书。
