《动力专业英语创新教程(全国电力职业教育规划教材)》在课程编排上依据全国示范性高职院校课改要求，并借鉴了国外职业院校所使用的语言类教材的编排模式，以课内任务-能力-知识-课外任务为主线设计每一单元，突破了传统英语教材所采用的“课文-语法讲解-习题”模式。本教程主要根据我国高职院校动力系各专业开设的专业基础课、专业课内容组织相应的英文材料，在进度上与我国高职院校动力系各专业的授课计划大致相符，以期学生在学习英语的同时，对所学过的专业基础课、专业课内容有所巩固。

《动力专业英语创新教程(全国电力职业教育规划教材)》为全国电力职业教育规划教材。全书内容共分四部分：第一部分为正文，共十个单元，选材内容涉及机械、计算机、热动、集控、电厂化学、水动、数控、模具、输电、新能源、制冷与空调、热工仪表自动化等方面；第二部分为科技英语语法，目的在于使学生能够掌握科技英语的学习技巧：第三部分为译文，通过给出正文翻译帮助学生更好地理解正文内容；第四部分为思考题答案。本书精心组织编排英文材料，对课程内容和授课方式进行创新设计，突破了我国的传统英语教材编写模式。

《动力专业英语创新教程(全国电力职业教育规划教材)》可作为高职院校电力技术类电厂热能动力装置专业和火电厂集控运行专业的教学用书，也可作为工程技术人员学习专业英语的参考用书，还可作为职业教育电力技术类专业培训用书。
