由动物临床医学研究所编著的《宠物消化系统病例分析100例》其内容全部是从“动物临床医学会”上发表的病例报告中，精选的100例消化器官疾病的病例。全书由“牙齿”、“口腔”、“食管”、“胃”、“小肠”、“大肠”、“肛门和肛周组织”、“肝胆系统”、“胰脏”、“腹腔与腹膜”和“其他”共11章构成，覆盖了大多数消化系统的疾病。

为了使在兽医师看来想当然的事情便于大家理解，本书刊载的照片多为彩色，而且，各章均设有总论，由各领域的专家级兽医师对其解剖、生理和机能进行解释说明，对各病例报告进行了详细描述。
