《21世纪教学活动设计案例精选丛书》的编写不以某一版本的教材为依据。它是根据基础教育课程改革的基本理念，依据国家九年义务教育课程标准编写的。这就使本丛书具有普适性，可供使用任何版本教材教学的中小学教师参考使用。本丛书收集的活动设计，有别于教育教学案例，它是课堂教学中的某个教学环节，或是精心设计的导人，或是针对具体学习任务而设计的小游戏。每一个教学活动设计体现了以学生为主体的理念，而且经过了多年教学实践的检验，行之有效。由于丛书提供的活动类型多样，宛如一个课堂教学活动设计的“超市”，各个学科的教师完全可以根据自己教学的实际需要，任意选用或组合，也可以在现有基础上改造与创新。在编写本丛书时，我们并没有强求体例一致，这样，我们可以保存每个教学活动设计的个性与特点，体现教学活动设计的多元化。对于广大的一线中小学教师而言，本丛书是实用的教学参考书，因为本丛书的作者都是来自教学第一线，他们的教学活动设计就是在教学第一线产生的。
