王琪主编的《大学英语在线阅读(2)》中每单元为5篇文章，其中快速阅读两篇、深度阅读两篇、美文欣赏1篇。每单元有一个主题，便于学生围绕某个主题获取相关知识和信息。教材分为纸质阅读和网络阅读两个部分。每单元5篇文章中，纸质阅读部分含深度阅读、快速阅读、美文欣赏各1篇；网络阅读部分含深度阅读和快速阅读各1篇。学生通过网上学习，可以为适应大学英语四、六级考试机考提前做好准备。本书中每篇文章配客观题或判断题5道，其中快速阅读为限时阅读，美文欣赏对难点重点作了注释。两套测试题为每套题5篇文章，2篇快速阅读，3篇深度阅读。每单元阅读文章后的理解练习题和两套测试试题均配有参考答案。
