本书是为初学汉语的外国人编写的、教授“汉字键学”与“汉字键写”一体化解决方案的简明教程。其目的有二：一是方便那些已经熟悉汉语拼音和汉字最基本知识的外国汉语初学者对汉字进行编码，以便随时随地可以在字典APP上查阅、学习不知道读音和意思的汉语生字；二是提高外国人中文无纸化办公的文字输入效率和正确率，以便发挥他们可以盲打的键盘写作技能。在我们看来，本书所述工具属于对外汉语教学信息化基础设施的范畴。
