非洲留学生是中非友谊的桥梁和纽带，是中非友好事业的传承者和践行者。2019年，共有8万余名非洲留学生在华学习，其中自费生占大多数。他们分布在中国30个省市的750余所大学，其中本科生占一半以上，涵盖十多个学科门类。
本书收录的30余篇文章就是从这次征文中精选的，代表了非洲在华留学生的一致心声和共同心愿。我们按照内容将这些文章分别归入中国见闻篇、中非友好篇、中非合作篇、“一带一路”篇、互学互鉴篇等类别之中。透过这些文章，读者似乎在与非洲留学生进行面对面的对话和交流，并从中了解和感受到他们眼中和印象中的习近平和中国，以及中非关系和中非友好合作等，拉近了中国与非洲之间的时空距离，强化了中非人民之间的感情纽带，促进了中非人民之间的民心相通。
