A Dadaist is someone who loves live in all its unencompassable forms and who knows and says:Life is not just here,but da, da (there, there)!

 In 1916 a meeting of artists, writers, emigres and opposition figures took place in the Cabaret Voltaire in Zurich. Under the shadow of the First World War, this was the starting point for the dissemination of the artistic and literary style known as Dadaism. The movement, which lasted until about1923, was directed against the ideas of the bourgeoisie concerning life and art; taking no account of logic, morality or convention, the Dadaists sought to create a provocative anti-art and rejected any aesthetic system. Their major forms of artistic expression were collage, montage and assemblage,the formation of new constructs - pictures, sculptures or sound poems - by putting together arbitrarily selected individual items deriving from a variety of different contexts.
