The Russian (Georgian) film, directed by Nana Mchedlidze, is about the efforts of some ferociously quaint Georgian men to organize themselves into a respectable soccer team at the turn of the century, but if you think that's all it's about, you are wrong. The fellow who pulls the team together and keeps their spirits up is a dead-ringer for Uncle Joe Stalin. The acting and often epic-looking photography are terrible. 　　This was the beginning of the century, when the provincial Georgia still did not know about soccer. Once, seeing as adults nose for the ball on the field, Hvicha surprised, but to unravel the meaning of the game, decided in anything was to establish its command.
