《导游英语》分为上篇和下篇。上篇遵循情境功能原则和任务为本原则，以涉外导游工作流程的典型工作任务为依据，对教材内容进行模块划分。上篇共设计9个项目，分别为接站服务、酒店入住、餐饮服务、都市服务、前往景点途中、景点讲解、旅游购物与娱乐、离站服务、问题与紧急情况处理。通过案例导入、情境创设、情景模拟、小组活动等活动载体来落实教学内容，让学生动起来，倡导学生在“做”中“学”，实现做学一体化。下篇根据旅游资源特点，分为名山之旅、胜水之旅、古建筑之旅、古代园林之旅、古城古镇之旅、中国特色文化之旅、红色文化之旅、都市风光之旅8个项目。进行分门别类的介绍，既有助于学生了解祖国的各类旅游资源，也有助于他们积累同类别旅游资源讲解的素材。
《导游英语》适用于高等旅游院校旅游英语、导游英语、旅游英语口语等课程的教学，也可供对英语导游工作感兴趣、希望加入英语导游队伍的社会人员作为自学和培训教材。

黄冬群，漳州职业技术学院文化旅游学院副教授，旅游英语高级培训师，高级旅游咨询师。担任漳州市翻译协会秘书长。主持或参与国家部委、省市级课题24项，参与省级精品在线开放课程2门，出版教材1本。指导学生参加全国职业院校技能大赛导游服务赛项、全国旅游院校服务技能（导游服务）大赛、福建省职业院校技能大赛（高职组）导游服务赛项，多次获得一等奖、二等奖。
