本书从跨学科角度出发,主要用定性的途径,通过宏观与微观、历时与共时相结合的方法,包括查阅文献资料、发放翻译教材编写调查问卷、考察市场和学生需求、个案访谈和课堂观察等手段,运用比较法、归纳法和推理法对所取得的信息材料进行论证和总结,从多重角度来论考察1980年到2008年期间我国英语专业本科生翻译教材的建设问题,对良好的传统与行之有效的翻译原则加以继承性发展,将翻译理论与研究和相关教学理论、心理学理论、交际学理论、可读性理论以及营销学理论结合起来,以便建立具有中国特色的、系统性翻译教材建设理论。
